After many years of working with new artists, I've realized the key point that makes a character's face look "off" is the lack of balance between masculine and feminine features.
The crucial points to grasp:
Facial Contours
Avoid drawing sharp angles like pure masculinity
Also avoid being too soft like complete femininity
Gentle curves, especially in the cheek and chin area
Nose - the detail that determines 70% of the aura
The nose tip must be high and slightly upturned
A straight nose bridge, not curved
Side view: pay attention to the proportion between the bridge and the tip
Mouth and Lip Area
A "rosebud" upper lip - small and pointed in the middle
The mouth line must be absolutely precise
The mouth position should not be too high or too low
Important notes when drawing side angles:
Facial depth is the critical factor - rate it 100 points in priority
Eyes looking straight, avoid axis misalignment
The face must have real depth, not be flat

Common mistakes to avoid:
Many of you draw too heavily towards a demonic style without realizing it - the face becomes fierce instead of neutrally elegant. If you look at the overall picture and the character seems aggressive, you've gone in the wrong direction.
Effective practice:
Sketch at least 20-30 faces using this formula before expecting proficiency. Each angle needs separate practice - profile, 3/4, and full face all have their own formulas.
This is the foundation for you to develop an androgynous character drawing style - a very hot trend in modern illustration and character design. Once you master these basics, adding personal style will become much easier.
Save this for reference when needed. Wishing you progress on your digital art journey.
